Helsinki - Accenture withdraw from the project |

FARA ASA, the leading supplier of IT solutions to the public transport sector in the Nordic countries, wants to inform that Accenture, as lead in the consortium consisting of Accenture, FARA and Hogia, has today formally informed the customer that they are withdrawing from delivering a tender to the Helsinki Ticketing and Information project.
Accenture has made an analysis of the project and based on their policies concluded that the overall assessment of risk is too high compared to outcome.
The consortium is dissolved at this stage.

Ticketing – Upgrade of Jämtland Län, Sweden |

FARA ASA, the leading supplier of IT solutions to the public transport sector in the Nordic countries, has signed an order with an existing customer Jämtland Län, Sweden.
The total order value of approx 14,5 million SEK excluding VAT, is for the upgrade of their existing FARA ticketing solution. This is an important project for FARA as this is the first customer to be upgraded to the new ticketing solution developed as a part of the investment program started in 2009. The goal of the investment program is to have a single FARA ticketing solution and an effective integrated FARA product portfolio.
In addition FARA will increase recurring revenue from service and maintenance after the solution has been implemented.
The solution shall be in operational in June 2011. |

FARA ASA presented the financial result for the second quarter 2010 Wednesday 14th of July 2010 at 08:30 at Hotel Continental, Oslo.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR Q2 2010:
- EBITDA of MNOK 0,6 (- 3,5)
- Revenue of MNOK 29,4 (26,9)
- Accumulated gross margin 75,5% (62,4%)
- New contracts announced for both ticketing and RTI/infotainment
- Development and introduction of the new product portfolio on track

RTI contract county of Hedmark, Norway |

FARA ASA, the leading supplier of IT solutions to the public transport sector in the Nordic countries, has signed an order with an existing customer; Hedmark county, Norway.
The total order value is NOK 2,4 million excluding VAT, and is for the supply of both hardware and software to implement a RTI (Real Time Information) solution for bus stops. The customer has an option to extend the delivery within a 5 year framework agreement. This new functionality will complement FARA's ticketing solution that was delivered in 2007/2008. This is an important project for FARA, considering that this is the second RTI project in Norway where the FARA Ticketing and FARA RTI are combined.
In addition FARA will increase recurring revenue related to service and maintenance.
The order will be delivered during Q4 2010. |
